Responsibilities
- Assist surveyors with setting up and maintainng survey equipment such as GPS units, 3D scanners, drones, total stations, and levels
- Conduct land surveys by collecting accurate data using hand tools, GPS devices, and other measurement instruments.
- Perform utility locating to identify underground utilities and prevent project delays or hazards
- Support to use of 3D scanners for detailed site modeling and topographic surveys
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely during fieldwork while adhering to safety protocols
- Assist in preparing survey reports, sketches, and schematics for project documentation
- Maintain organized records of field date and ensure accuracy in all measurements taken
Requirements
- Basic understanding of land surveying principles and practices-desired but not required
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and preform physical tasks including heavy lifting during field operations
- Prior experience working on construction sites or with land surveying teams is advantageous but not mandatory; trainging will be provided for the right candidate
