What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - Emergency Department position at Byrd Regional Hospital?
The ER Registered Nurse provides patient care in an emergency room setting. Assesses the patient's condition quickly in an often high pressure situation and provides treatment based on physicians' orders. Documents patient's medical history, condition, and prescribed course of treatment. Advises patient on home care and necessary follow up care. The ER Director may assign to serve as RN Preceptor for the unit.
