Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of settings, including residential and some commercial. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, providing safe and reliable electrical solutions. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and construction environments using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform high-voltage and low-voltage wiring work in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure safety and compliance.
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment; implement effective solutions promptly.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures before they occur.
- Follow all electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and project timelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in construction or renovation projects.
- Knowledge of local electrical codes and NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) compliance standards.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, power meters (including ohmmeters), and other diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Ability to work on construction sites with experience in renovation projects; familiarity with framing carpentry or handyman skills is a plus.
- Strong commitment to electrical safety procedures and adherence to industry standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
