Byrd Appliance Specialists has been Shreveport's go-to appliance repair company since 2014. We're not a franchise. We built this business on reputation, straight talk, and doing things right — and a big part of what keeps us busy is customers sending their neighbors. We're growing, and we're now building an installation division to match. We need the right people to carry our principles forward.
What This Job Actually Is
This is a physical job — but it's more about technique than size. Moving a full-size refrigerator solo isn't about being huge, it's about knowing how. We'll show you what that looks like. If you're the type who picks up a skill, owns it, and takes pride in doing it cleanly, you'll be comfortable in this role quickly.
Day to day, you'll deliver and install appliances in homes throughout the Shreveport area, help receive and unload supplier shipments at the shop, and keep the shop and storage areas organized. You'll partner with an experienced installer and represent Byrd in people's homes — which means showing up on time, working clean, and leaving the customer feeling good about the experience.
What You Bring
Experience moving heavy equipment in residential or field settings — appliance delivery, furniture moving, HVAC, home gym installs, or similar work all count. A clean driving record, your own hand tools, and the kind of customer-facing manner that makes people feel good about letting you into their home. Most importantly, a mentality that takes ownership. We're not looking for someone filling a slot — we're looking for someone building a career.
Compensation
Starting at $16/hour with no benefits package. Pay grows with performance and responsibility as the division expands. Company truck and gas card provided. 40 hours a week with overtime available, Monday through Friday, no weekends.
