Press Brake Setup Operator
We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Setup Operator to join our precision fabrication team. This position is responsible for independently setting up, programming, and operating press brakes to produce high-quality parts while maintaining efficiency and tight tolerances.
Responsibilities:
- Independently set up, program, and operate press brake machines.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine tooling, bend sequences, and machine settings.
- Select, install, and align tooling for complex part configurations.
- Perform first-piece inspections and make adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot setup and production issues to minimize downtime.
- Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of press brake setup experience in a metal fabrication environment.
- Strong proficiency reading blueprints
- Experience programming press brakes and determining bend allowances, bend deductions, and tooling selection.
- Ability to hold close tolerances and perform detailed quality inspections.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and angle measuring devices.
- Experience with Cincinnati or Trumpf brake presses a plus!
