Material Handling Specialist - Telehandler

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Material Handling Specialist with expertise in operating LULL Telehandler forklifts and other heavy equipment to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing materials handling operations, including loading, unloading, order picking, and inventory management. Your proactive approach will ensure safety standards are maintained while supporting seamless warehouse distribution processes. Duties

• Operate LULL forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently for load and unload activities.
• Manage order picking using various warehouse management systems and manual methods to fulfill shipping and receiving requirements accurately.
• Load and unload shipments with precision, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage or injury.
• Conduct routine equipment repairs and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of all warehouse machinery.
• Assist in warehouse management tasks such as inventory control, stock organization, and space optimization to support warehouse distribution goals.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and internal safety protocols during all manual handling and equipment operation tasks to maintain a safe working environment.
• Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments, preparing documentation, and ensuring timely dispatch of goods.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, LULLs, telehandlers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo’s, pallet jacks, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking procedures.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to OSHA safety standards in production environments.
• Mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of equipment repair and troubleshooting.
• Excellent manual handling skills combined with basic math proficiency for inventory counts and measurements.
• Prior experience in warehouse supervision or team leadership is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with shipping & receiving protocols, materials handling techniques, and warehouse distribution processes.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
