Join Our Team as a Mechanic!
Are you skilled at troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery and equipment? Byard Construction LLC is seeking a Mechanic to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of our fleet of construction equipment. As a Mechanic, you’ll be instrumental in keeping our equipment running smoothly and safely on-site to support the success of our mass excavation, utility, and paving projects.

What You’ll Do
As a Mechanic, you will:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of Heavy construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, skid-steers, wheel loaders, haulers, and more.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and diagnose problems with engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks and services on equipment to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure that all repairs comply with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
- Handle physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling tools and equipment weighing over 50 lbs.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with experience in construction equipment or heavy machinery.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Drug-free and 18 years or older.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
