Job Description/Duties
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. citizenship with (no dual citizenship) ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test and previous employment reference verifications.

BWXT is currently seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for its Lynchburg, VA location!
Job Description/Duties
- Electrically troubleshoot and repair Industrial Equipment, Material Handling systems, Power Distribution systems, Frequency Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers and Relay Logic.
- Perform upgrades to facility infrastructure and perform preventive maintenance as required.
- Technical school preferred (Electrical Program).
- Electrical Maintenance experience preferred.
- Will be required to complete an Electrical Curriculum (VTI or CVCC) VTI (Vocational Technical Institute).
- Will be required to complete Apprenticeship program.
- Must be a self-starter and must be willing, and able, to follow verbal and written instructions and procedures and/or other standard work practices.
- Must be able to support equipment outages/Shutdown and must be able to work weekends, holidays, off-shifts, and call-in's when required.
- Must be capable of working in a team environment with Engineering, Maintenance Craftsmen, and Vendors.
- Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.
