Join our small, collaborative team in making a vital impact on BWXT projects. Bring your manufacturing and financial analysis expertise to perform controlling and financial analyst functions for multiple, separate projects. Provide meaningful and accurate analysis information to improve profitability, and complete month-end closing and budget tasks.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $56,000 and $88,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Manages Capital ACE and Expense Project coordination with Project Controls, including tracking and reviews.
- Investigates manufacturing cost situations and proposes methods and programs for improving financial results of each project.
- Generates and analyzes daily, weekly, and monthly reports, discussing results with key stakeholders.
- Drives the project team to meet financial goals for all activities that impact project financial performance.
- Analyzes manufacturing variations and perform various account analyses.
- Assists with labor reconciliations for project related costs.
- Ensures completeness of month end closing, quarterly forecasting, and budget process tasks
- Completes activities for the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close that includes journal entries, financial statement reviews. Ensure compliance with accounting principles
- Prepares month-end reports including analysis of major cost drivers.
- Supports ad-hoc requests such as cash flow, budgeting, accounting reserves, governmental reporting and audits.
- Serves as point of contact for employee expense reporting issues and resolution in Concur.
- Maintains documents for vital records systems.
- Establishes or revises processes and procedures.
- Maintains accounting portion of fixed asset processes, including maintaining fixed asset inventory.
- Manages the implementation of new controlling tools and processes and procedures as directed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- A minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience.
- Financial Controlling experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret and apply company guidelines, SOX, GAAP, and government regulations.
- Ability to understand and apply US GAAP.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
- Previous manufacturing or cost accounting experience.
- MBA or CPA.
