Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will coordinate the efficient movement of materials, oversee inventory accuracy, and ensure seamless shipping and receiving operations. Your proactive approach will support our commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Receive incoming shipments by inspecting packages, verifying quantities, and recording details in inventory management software accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting appropriate packaging materials, labeling packages accurately, and coordinating with carriers for pickup.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers to load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400, and data entry tools to track inventory movement.
• Assist with inventory management tasks including stock counting, replenishment, and cycle counts to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation to support ISO, QA, and regulatory audits.
• Support order fulfillment processes by picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
• Perform incoming inspections and support parts procurement activities.
• Monitor warehouse processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and workflow.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as aassigned.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with inventory control, shipping/receiving, and warehouse operations.
• Licensed and experienced with forklift equipment (or willing to be trained)

Skills:

• Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts
• Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, inventory control, and materials handling techniques.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for order fulfillment and inventory tracking.
• Understanding safety regulations including OSHA standards and proper PPE use.
• Experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, packing, and load & unload procedures.
• Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on heavy lifting safety practices.
• Technical proficiency in operating material handling equipment operation tools and warehouse operations technology.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
