Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Yard Spotter to join our team. This role is responsible for safely moving trailers within the yard and positioning them at loading docks while maintaining communication with warehouse personnel and ensuring compliance with safety and transportation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Move trailers within the yard and position them at docks for loading and unloading
• Work closely with warehouse teams to coordinate trailer movements
• Perform pre-trip inspections and report any mechanical issues or damages
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
• Maintain accurate records of trailer movements
• Communicate effectively during shifts and handoffs
• Keep yard and equipment clean and organized
• Participate in training, safety meetings, and required compliance programs
• Follow all company policies, including safety, conduct, and drug and alcohol policies

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable Class A driving or yard jockey experience
• Experience operating yard tractors in a fast-paced environment preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (day or night), including weekends and holidays
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Must pass background check, drug screen, and have a clean MVR
• Valid DOT Medical Card required
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse

Schedule

• Day Shift: 5:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Night Shift: 5:30 PM – 5:30 AM

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $21.00 -$22.00 per hour
