Receivers: Account for accurate deliveries from outside vendors/suppliers.
Essential Duties For Receivers
- Actively observe and promote BWISE safety standards
- Accepts and signs for deliveries from distributor.
- Assists in unloading shipments from delivery truck.
- Uses dollies, forklifts, and other moving equipment to transport shipments from loading dock and around stockroom.
- Opens boxes and inspects contents of shipments.
- Processes returns for any defective or incorrect items.
- Checks shipping invoice to ensure all items are accounted for.
- Contacts seller or distributor to resolve shipment discrepancies.
- Stores, restocks, and shelves delivery items as necessary.
- Ensures that stockroom is clean and organized.
- Processes transfers for shipments moving on to another location.
- Maintains records of all received shipments.
- Conducts inventory of products, and logs data into inventory database
- Contacts distributor to inquire about shipment delays or problems.
- Reports any major or unresolved shipment delays or problems to management.
- Addresses and answers customer inquiries about pending orders and shipments.
- Other duties, as assigned by Purchasing Supervisor.
- Must be capable of standing for entire shift and sit for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs; ability to demonstrate full range of motion for reaching, bending, kneeling and stooping.
- Will be exposed to extreme heat and cold depending on weather.
- Subject to dirt, dust, oil, welding fumes, traffic hazards, and high noise levels in the workplace.
- Operate powered industrial trucks and industrial tractors
- Steel-toed shoes or composite shoes

- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to read, write, count, communicate by various channels.
