Job Overview
A Welding Team Leader coordinates each welder on the assigned weld line to monitor the progress of the operations and ensure the safety of all workers. The leader also inspects the finished product to ensure it is built properly and safely.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee welding team
- Ensure conformance to safety requirements
- Verify quality of welds
- Train new welders
- Troubleshoot welding equipment issues

Education – Experience Required
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent
- Preferred; Technical education courses, postsecondary institutions, such as vocational and technical institutes, community colleges, private welding, soldering, and brazing schools
