Duties
- Assist with patient intake by verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to monitor patient health status.
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
- Support physicians and with clinical tasks including vaccine administration.
- Document medical information using ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding for billing and record-keeping purposes.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, offering reassurance, and coordinating follow-up care or referrals as needed.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a Medical Assistant in pediatric or family medicine environments is highly preferred.
- Prior experience with billing and managed care referrals highly preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
