Overview
Operator will work in a safe, efficient and quality-conscious manner while unloading, loading and blending of liquid products to and from storage tanks, rail cars, trucks, barges, and any other means specific to Terminal. All work will be performed in strict accordance with Company operating policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Below is a list of essential duties of this position. Other duties may be assigned as needed:
1. Load, unload, blend trucks, rail cars, and marine cargo (as applicable) safely and efficiently.
2. Gauge tanks, trucks, rail cars, barges and any other means specific to the terminal.
3. Conduct tank alignments for tank to tank transfer and product blending.
4. Assist contractors in maintenance operations as necessary.
5. Operate heavy equipment, hoses, and similar items.
6. Communicate in a professional, positive and appropriate manner.
7. Support team efforts cooperate with others, and actively lean from other team members.
8. Identify problems and use judgment to find appropriate solutions.
9. Perform or assist in the performance of preventive and regular maintenance duties.
10. Maintain general housekeeping of work area.
11. Report to work on time prepared to perform the duties of the position and willing to perform the duties as workload necessitates.
12. Comply with applicable regulatory and company health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
13. Complete required training in a timely manner.
14. Report injuries/illnesses, environmental spills/releases, and any unsafe acts or conditions to supervision immediately.

While performing the duties of this position, the individual regularly works both outdoors and indoors and is exposed to a variety of weather conditions. This position requires working in confined areas, regular standing, walking, sitting, bending, climbing in all terminal working areas 90% of the work day. Occasionally the employee is required to lift or exert force of up to 50 pounds.

Minimum experience, skills and qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- TWIC Card or ability to obtain a TWIC Card required
- Basic computer skills a plus
- Terminal Operator experience a plus but not required
- Ability to become certified to operate a motor vehicle, track mobile, forklift and similar equipment
- Ability to wear safety equipment: respirator, shoes, chemical suit, goggles, gloves and similar equipment
- Mechanically inclined with the ability and skill to connect pipelines, hoses, drop tubes, safety cages, and similar equipment
- Ability to perform basic math, read and complete documents and other paperwork as it pertains to liquids chemicals and the transfer, handling and storage of same
- Ability to change duties throughout the day and to work with a variety of individuals
- Ability to work independently with general direction from supervisor
