Job description
Our company has been in business for over 70 years, and is a small family run organization looking for support in the maintenance department as we expand our operations. This is a long term opportunity with growth and development options. We are both a construction company and management company, who develops and oversees class A apartment buildings in the Los Angeles area.
You would be working directly with the asset manager and property supervisor of the company to keep the buildings working smoothly and make sure all tenants are happy.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department and building functions
- Schedule maintenance and prioritize work orders on a daily basis, available for emergencies
- Provide administrative support, including data entry, obtaining estimates and reviewing contracts, and document management
- Oversee and check work done in apartment building units. Must have an understanding of proper maintenance techniques and hand on work experience.
- You will be expected to drive between buildings in the Los Angeles area, car and license required.
Experience:
- 5 YEARS in maintenance or construction field, preferably class A apartment buildings.
- Knowledge of property management practices and fair housing regulations
- Excellent phone and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong written skills (ability to write and review contracts)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Spanish
