Job Summary
We are seeking a Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating horizontal bandsaws to cut raw materials according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. The Saw Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate saws to produce parts as per specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting requirements.
- Utilize tape measures and calipers to accurately measure materials.
- Assist with material handling; label and stage material for upcoming jobs.
- Conduct routine maintenance on saws to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Support general shop operations as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods.
- Willingness to learn, adhere to safety guidelines, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Experience in a shop work environment a plus, but not required.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to pass pre-hire and random drug screens.
