Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in various areas of the facility.
- Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and stripping as needed to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Handle janitorial duties such as emptying trash bins, cleaning restrooms, and replenishing supplies.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Provide porter services by ensuring common areas are clean and organized.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain a safe environment.
Requirements
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance is a plus.
- Experience in residential painting or industrial cleaning is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards work responsibilities.
