The Electrical Designer is responsible for modifying, adapting, and creating electrical designs for machines and systems, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and compliance with standards. This includes producing schematics, layouts, BOMs, and supporting documentation, as well as collaborating with engineering teams and supporting manufacturing and field operations.

Job Description:
The Electrical Designer is responsible for modifying, adapting, and creating electrical designs for machines and systems, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and compliance with standards. This includes producing schematics, layouts, BOMs, and supporting documentation, as well as collaborating with engineering teams and supporting manufacturing and field operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret schematics, specs, and data to design or modify electrical systems.
- Create and evaluate CAD layouts for functionality and feasibility.
- Perform basic electrical calculations and update control designs.
- Prepare detailed design documentation, including BOMs and wiring diagrams.
- Review and implement engineering change requests.
- Specify components using vendor input and industry standards.
- Support manufacturing and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Conduct field visits for installation support and system improvements.
- Mentor junior team members and support cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong understanding of electrical design, schematics, and code compliance (UL/NEC).
- Proficient with Electrical CAD software and drafting techniques.
- Familiarity with shop/assembly practices and troubleshooting methods.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to travel and support customer sites as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or technical degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of electrical design experience.
