Role Description This is a full-time non hybrid role for Fire Sprinkler Fitters and Foreman based in Cornelius, NC. On-site, the Fire Sprinkler Fitters will install, assemble, and test fire sprinkler systems in accordance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes. The Foreman role includes supervising field crews, coordinating daily work activities, ensuring safe work practices, and communicating project status to project managers and office staff. The Foreman will review blueprints, order and manage materials, maintain accurate job records, and support inspections and system commissioning. The position requires regular interaction with general contractors, inspectors, and customers to resolve issues and deliver projects on schedule and within quality standards.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience installing, fitting, and testing fire sprinkler systems, including familiarity with tools, materials, and hydraulic concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications for fire protection systems.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to supervise field crews, assign tasks, and maintain productivity and quality on job sites.
- Strong commitment to job-site safety, including knowledge of OSHA and relevant fire protection safety best practices.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, contractors, inspectors, and customers.
- Basic computer skills for reporting, documentation, scheduling, and email communication; comfort with using digital plans or project management tools is a plus.
- Prior experience as a fire sprinkler fitter, foreman, or related fire protection trade role preferred.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards and state/local fire codes is highly beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites within North and South Carolina.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or trade school training in fire protection or mechanical trades is an advantage.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, working at heights, and working in a construction environment.
- Ability to work overtime or nights as needed (night shift differential applies)
