What are the responsibilities and job description for the BIM Manager position at BVN Architecture?
BVN is seeking a mid–senior level BIM Manager to work alongside our project leads as a technical partner across a wide range of projects.
Overview
At BVN, BIM Managers work alongside our project leads as technical partners. They help interpret project requirements and set clear, practical BIM strategies that support design quality, coordination and delivery.
BIM Managers advise project teams on modelling approaches, scope, exchanges and interoperability, within BVN and across the wider consultant team. Their role is to ensure BIM practices support projects from early setup through to delivery.
The level of involvement varies depending on the project. BIM Managers may take a hands-on coordination role, or support teams through initial setup, mentoring and ongoing guidance, building capability and helping teams take ownership.
BVN’s BIM Managers operate as a connected community, sharing knowledge across studios and projects to improve consistency and quality.
BVN prioritises working smarter, not harder. We explore and apply new technologies, including automation, scripting and computational design tools such as Dynamo and Grasshopper. Coding skills are encouraged but not essential. Through BVN’s Design Technology Network, ideas are shared, tested and brought to life collaboratively.
