We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Manager to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role will support the management of a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, and retail properties throughout the greater Charlotte area.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage multiple properties, build strong tenant relationships, and collaborate across internal teams including leasing, development, accounting, construction, and finance. This position plays a key role in maximizing property performance and maintaining high operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular property inspections and ensure properties meet company standards for safety, maintenance, and overall appearance
- Oversee all maintenance activities, including routine, preventative, and emergency repairs
- Coordinate and manage third-party vendors, including contract bidding and performance oversight
- Review and approve invoices and vendor payments
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, responding to requests and resolving issues promptly
- Ensure lease compliance and maintain strong tenant relationships
- Support leasing efforts by coordinating access to spaces and assisting with marketing vacant units
- Partner with internal teams on construction projects, tenant buildouts, and capital improvements
- Assist with due diligence, acquisitions, and other special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial property management
- Experience managing multiple properties/centers simultaneously
- Retail property management experience required
- Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, roofing, plumbing) and general property operations
- Experience working with leases, contracts, and vendor agreements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to provide efficient, timely, and high-quality service to tenants and stakeholders
