What are the responsibilities and job description for the Club Volleyball Coach position at BVA Lions Volleyball Academy?
We are currently looking for two Club Volleyball Coach to join our 14U teams.
The position will begin as an assistant coach through the end of the current season (mid-June). After that, you will have the opportunity to participate in our summer camps and will be considered for a head or assistant coaching role for the 2026–2027 season starting in August 2026.
If you have sufficient coaching experience, a head coach position may be available immediately. Regardless of the role, you will work closely with one of our current coaches, as we typically have two coaches working with each team at every practice.
You will be working alongside some of the top youth coaches in the region, making this a great opportunity to learn, collaborate, and continue developing as a coach.

We are a small, dynamic volleyball club with a reputation for developing skilled and disciplined athletes. Our program is efficient, innovative, and designed to maximize player potential. We practice in Des Plaines and Bensenville, with training hours from 6 PM - 9 PM.
Position Details
- Job Title: Club Volleyball Coach
- Location: Des Plaines, Mount Prospect & Bensenville, IL
- Practice Hours: 6 PM – 9 PM
- Commitment: 2-4 sessions per week to start, with the possibility of team assignment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging training plans to improve athletes’ skills and understanding of volleyball.
- Conduct practices focusing on technical skills, strategy, and teamwork.
- Teach and reinforce sportsmanship and the rules of the game.
- Monitor players’ progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for athletes to grow and excel.
- Collaborate with fellow coaches to ensure consistent athlete development.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Volleyball experience at the club, high school, or college level.
- No prior coaching experience required if the candidate has played high-level volleyball and is enthusiastic about learning.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate athletes of varying skill levels.
- Skills in behavior management and fostering teamwork.
- Passion for youth sports and a commitment to creating a supportive training environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in physical education or sports-related fields.
- Experience with students across diverse age groups.
