Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain web servers and hosting environments (IIS, Apache, NGINX) across state agency platforms.
- Manage website deployments, configuration, and version control; ensure uptime and performance optimization.
- Implement and enforce security standards for web applications, including SSL/TLS certificates and patching.
- Monitor web traffic, logs, and performance metrics; troubleshoot issues and resolve incidents promptly.
- Coordinate content updates and ensure compliance with accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG).
- Perform backup and recovery operations for websites and related databases; maintain disaster recovery readiness.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and business units to support application releases and enhancements.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and change management approvals.
- Ensure compliance with state IT policies, including security, privacy, and records retention requirements.
- Baseline administration of web servers, monitoring, and content updates.
- Advanced configuration, performance tuning, and security hardening; managing deployments and backups.
- Leading web infrastructure planning, disaster recovery strategies, and mentoring junior administrators.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years’ experience in web administration within public sector or regulated environments.
- Hands-on experience with web server administration, SSL/TLS management, and performance monitoring.
- Familiarity with accessibility compliance (Section 508/WCAG) and state IT standards.
- Knowledge of IIS, Apache, NGINX, and related hosting technologies.
- Experience with load balancing, CDN integration, and caching strategies.
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills; ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with security best practices for web environments and vulnerability remediation.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or equivalent.
- CompTIA Network or Security .
- ITIL Foundation for change and incident management.
