What You’ll Do
- Oversee daily general ledger accounting, including reconciliation and reporting for housing development and operational projects
- Record cash receipts, manage fixed assets, and maintain long-term debt schedules
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, analyzing and explaining variances
- Review and code invoices related to construction and development projects, collaborating closely with the construction team
- Support annual audits and tax filings by preparing work papers and audit schedules
- Ensure compliance documentation is complete and properly managed
- Take on additional duties as needed to support organizational financial health
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (may consider experience in lieu of degree)
- 3-5 years of professional accounting experience, with a focus on account reconciliation and program analysis
- Strong proficiency with accounting software and MS Office
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Solid problem-solving capabilities and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Discretion in handling confidential information
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Construction or property management accounting experience
- Knowledge of LIHTC programs
- Familiarity with CPA guidelines and audit processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in construction or property management accounting, especially within affordable housing or development sectors
- Ability to perform job functions safely and meet productivity standards
- Punctuality and consistent attendance
- Willingness to support a diverse and inclusive workplace
