Location: Johnstown, PA

Salary: $120,000.00

We are looking for a dedicated Gear Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in the production of gears and our other products for our customers.

This New Position Will Be a Gear Expert Within Our Engineering Department To Support Both Of Our Facilities (Johnstown, PA And Blairsville, PA) To

• Design, develop, and optimize gear manufacturing processes, including machining, hobbing, grinding, and heat treat
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure quality and performance standards
• Select appropriate tools, materials, and machines for gear production
• Design fixtures and special tooling to support manufacturing
• Stay current with industry trends, gear standards (e.g., AGMA, ISO), and emerging technologies
  
  

Requirements For Successful Candidate Include

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
• 5 years of experience in high volume gear manufacturing
• Experience in generated heat treat recipes, metallurgical experience and gear design required
• Solid understanding of gear types (spur, helical, bevel, etc.) and gear cutting methods
• Familiarity with CNC machines, CAD/CAM software, and gear design software
