Position Summary A Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the efficient operation of a building’s infrastructure and systems. This includes HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and general maintenance tasks. The role supports both routine upkeep and emergency repairs to keep facilities safe, functional, and compliant.

Job Description/Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.• Conduct general repairs: painting, carpentry, lighting adjustments, furniture assembly, and minor construction.• Support custodial and groundskeeping tasks as needed.• Assist with event setup/teardown and A/V equipment support.• Monitor building systems and respond to service requests or work orders.• Collaborate with outside contractors and vendors during repairs or installations.• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Basic knowledge of building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry.• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.• Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance standards.• Strong communication and organizational skills.• Physical ability to lift, climb, and perform manual tasks.• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
