We’re looking for a People Operations & HRIS Associate to help build the backbone of our team as we scale across multiple locations.
This isn’t a sit-back HR role.
This is a roll-up-your-sleeves, build-it-from-scratch opportunity.
You’ll own critical systems, support our people, and help create the processes that will power BuyWander’s growth.

Own the engine behind our people operations:
- Manage and optimize our HRIS (Paylocity)—keeping data clean, systems running, and workflows improving
- Run and support payroll (audits, off-cycle runs, troubleshooting issues)
Be the go-to for our team:
- Support employees with questions, issues, and day-to-day needs
- Partner with General Managers to simplify and streamline HR processes
Help us build and scale:
- Create and improve core HR processes as we grow
- Coordinate recruiting (scheduling, communication, candidate experience)
- Support performance tracking and reporting
Keep things moving:
- Handle routine employee relations matters and escalate when needed
- Work with external partners (benefits, HR consultants, etc.)
- 2–5 years in HR, People Ops, or similar
- Experience with an HRIS (Paylocity = big plus)
- Exposure to payroll and workforce operations
- Strong attention to detail (you catch what others miss)
- Organized, reliable, and able to juggle multiple priorities
- Comfortable learning new systems quickly
- Clear communicator—approachable, professional, and solutions-oriented
- Multi-state or multi-location experience
- Experience in a startup or fast-growing environment
- Owner mindset: You take responsibility and follow through
