We are seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead and develop a high-performing technical team responsible for data, reporting, applications, and infrastructure supporting the RealTime Solutions brand. This role balances people leadership, delivery execution, and hands-on technical oversight to ensure reliable systems, high-quality data, and continuous improvement in development velocity. In this role, you'll serve as a key partner to internal stakeholders and external clients, translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Your impact:
- Manage an in-person and remote team of software developers, database processionals and IT staff
- Lead spring planning, backlog prioritization, and delivery execution to improve team velocity and predictability
- Assign and prioritize work across the team based on business needs and technical complexity
- Manage vendor invoices up to an established authorization limit
- Serve as the primary IT point of contact for internal stakeholders and external clients
- Participate in Team Lead and cross-functional leadership meetings
- Ensure reliable operation of databases, reporting systems, and client-facing applications
- Maintain high standard for data integrity, system performance, and documentation
About you:
- 8 years of experience in IT, software development, or data-focused roles
- 3 years of experience leading or managing technical teams
- Strong experience with SQL Server, reporting, and data integration environments
- Experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting as well as data integrity and quality management
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Strong people leadership skills, including mentoring, coaching, and performance management
- Ability to organize work using Agile or sprint-based delivery methods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to balance hands-on technical work with strategic oversight
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage delivery expectations
