Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong background in kitchen operations, with experience in catering and/or restaurant environments. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with menu planning and daily meal preparation
- Ensure all food is prepared efficiently, maintaining quality and presentation
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Support with food service operations, including plating and serving dishes when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
- Contribute to maintaining a positive and professional work environment focused on customer satisfaction
Experience
- Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred
- Experience working in restaurants or the food industry is highly desirable
- Strong culinary skills, including knife skills and meal preparation techniques
- Background in food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Knowledge of menu planning, food presentation, and catering services is a plus
- Previous roles involving food service, cooking, or kitchen experience will be advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Having ServSafe is a plus, but willing to hire and help you obtain this certification
