Job Overview
ButterPunk is a new cafe serving pastries, biscuit sandwiches for breakfast and lunch with a full service coffee program. We opened almost a year ago and need a part time barista! Looking for someone who loves coffee and food to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced café environment. You must be comfortable working on the register, managing a long line with a genuine smile, and able to make our homemade syrups and sauces. Your role will involve not only crafting delicious drinks but also engaging with customers to ensure their satisfaction. Must have weekend availability (both Saturday and Sundays) and able to work all major holiday weeks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing the cash register.
- Engage with customers, taking orders, answering questions, and providing recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ingredients, restocking as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment while effectively managing time during busy periods.
- Able to follow a recipe to make our signature syrups and sauces.
Qualifications
- Must feel comfortable dialing in espresso and creating latte art.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A friendly demeanor with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
