What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Cashier position at Buttermilk Bakeshop?
Buttermilk Bakeshop is looking for a Lead Cashier to join our team in Brooklyn, NY! We are opening a new location and are looking for experienced candidate to be in charge of certain shifts.
This position will be working the front desk, and is full-time position, weekends are a must.
We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, loves pastries/cakes and to work in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong desire to help others. Candidates must be able to work well with others, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in customers
- Answer incoming phone calls and take basic cake orders
- Process cash receipts and purchase orders for customers
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in person and over the phone
- Handle all customer requests and questions in a professional manner
- Provide assistance to sales associates and management with any questions or problems.
- Decorate the store for Holidays!
- Maintain clean work areas, including the store area, shelves, merchandise, and equipment.
- Stock shelves with necessary baked goods.
- Operate point-of-sale system to register customers and process cash transactions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. Previous customer service experience preferred. Must be willing to learn new systems quickly. Must have excellent customer service skills as well as strong communication skills. Must be able to work well with others. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds on a regular basis. Food Handlers License is required.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
