Role Description
This full-time, on-site role for Assistant Chief Administrative Officer located in Butte County, CA. The Assistant Chief Administrative Officer, under administrative direction, will be responsible for managing, reviewing, coordinating, and directing the overall operations of Butte County government. In addition, assures compliance of all department activities with Butte County goals and objectives, State and Federal laws, and County policies and procedures.
Additional tasks include overseeing County operations; exercising independent judgment within broad policy guidelines; evaluating and analyzing issues, and recommending and implementing solutions; identifying and monitoring long and short range goals and objectives; assuring effective communications of issues and strategies; monitoring organization and operations; developing and approving recommendations of improving the County's operations and processes; assuring that strategic goals are reached; providing leadership on complex and sensitive projects; analyzing workload trends and recommending staffing adjustments and personnel assignments; analyzing statistical repots, compiling information and recommending appropriate actions by Board; developing, evaluating and implementing County's strategic plans, goals, and objectives for the Chief Administrative Officer and Board of Supervisors; developing system and standards for program evaluation and assuring County's activities are in compliance with all laws, policies, and regulations; and more.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
- Bachelor’s degree; and
- Five (5) years of increasingly responsible executive level leadership in a government agency.
Required Certifications/Licenses
- Must possess a valid US driver’s license upon date of application. Must obtain California driver’s license following hire date per California DMV regulations.
Salary Range
$182,332.80 - $244,337.60 Annually
