This is a full-time, on-site internship role for a Public Health Intern at the Butte County Public Health Department, located in Chico, CA. The intern will work collaboratively with teams to support public health initiatives, conduct research, analyze data, and assist in community health programs. Responsibilities include communicating public health information, gathering environmental health data, performing health assessments, and supporting outreach efforts to improve community well-being.
- Knowledge of Public Health and Community Health principles and practices
- Strong Analytical Skills and ability to evaluate public health data effectively
- Familiarity with Environmental Health concerns and related regulations
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and engage with diverse populations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools
- Coursework or academic background in Public Health, Environmental Science, or a related field
