Job Types: Full-time
Salary: $4,446.00 - $6,255.16 monthly MVCS I, $4,671.33 - $6,571.50 monthly MVCS II
Schedule:
- This is a 40 hour/week paid full-time permanent position. The District workweek is generally Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, but working hours are adjusted for weather, vector and vector-borne disease activity, and/or other District needs. This position requires working early mornings and/or late nights to meet the needs of the District's surveillance, research, and control programs. The MVCS may be required to work in excess of 40 hours/week and occasional weekends; earned overtime is accumulated as compensatory time off (CTO)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (MVCS I)
- An Associates degree and two years of experience in a field directly related to mosquito and vector control or similar degree or four years of experience in a field directly related to mosquito and vector control. (MVCS II)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
- Possession of valid certificates from the California Department of Public Health's certified technician in Mosquito and Vector Control categories A, B within 24 months of employment and must be maintained throughout employment for this position (MVCS I)
- Possession of valid certificates from the California Department of Public Health’s certified technician in Mosquito and Vector Control categories A, B, C, and D and must be maintained throughout employment for this position. (MVCS II)
