Tool and Die Maker

Location: Goodland, Indiana

We are a 45‑year‑established tool & die / job‑shop looking for a skilled Manual Machinist who can run mills, lathes, and grinders independently. If you’re tired of production work and want variety, autonomy, and real machining, this is the place.

What You’ll Do

• Run manual mills, lathes, and surface grinders
• Build, repair, and modify tooling, fixtures, and one‑off parts
• Read and interpret prints
• Hold tight tolerances
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Assist with apprentices when needed
• Occasionally support CNC or EDM operations

This is a true toolroom environment, not a production line.

What We’re Looking For

• 7 years manual machining experience
• Ability to run mills, lathes, and grinders confidently
• Strong print reading and measurement skills
• Ability to work independently and think through setups
• Toolroom or job‑shop experience is a major plus
• Good attitude, reliable, and takes pride in craftsmanship

If you can take a part from print to finished piece on manual equipment, you’ll fit right in.

Pay & Benefits

Pay: $30–$40/hr based on experience
