Duties
- · Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters, with a focus on healthcare law, managed care litigation, and ERISA matters.
- Draft and argue motions in state and federal courts.
- Oversee the discovery process and document review.
- Develop case strategy and collaborate with partners on litigation matters.
- Handle client communications and build long-term client relationships.
- Court appearances throughout Connecticut, New York City, and Long Island.
- Assist with family and divorce law matters as needed.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to both NY and CT bars is required, but candidates eligible for admission will be considered with a probationary period to obtain admission.
- Experience or interest in managed care, healthcare law, and ERISA preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with legal research platforms including LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Strong writing skills with experience in legal drafting and administrative tasks within a law office setting.
- 2-6 years of litigation experience (candidates with more or less experience will be considered if they are the right fit).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
