What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal - Memphis, TN position at Butler Snow LLP?

What you would do:
- Drafts correspondence, pleadings, discovery, motions and orders (ranging from simple to complex)
- Drafts notices such as notices of deposition, notices of appearance, and subpoenas for appearance at deposition or trial or for documents
- Schedules and maintains depositions and court-imposed deadlines
- Familiarity with State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
- Performs in depth legal research retrieves cases or public record information using Westlaw; internet research, locate applicable cases, statutes, court rules, and regulations on specific legal issues
- Files pleadings, including ECF
- Assists attorneys with discovery requests
- Assists attorneys with trial preparation
- Other duties as assigned by attorneys or Director of Practice Support
What you bring:
- 3 to 5 years of paralegal experience
- Paralegal certificate or undergraduate degree
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite including excel, word and power point
- Experience capturing and recording billable time
- High degree of detail and client focus
- Experience reviewing and summarizing XXXX records
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team
- Drive and personal initiative
