We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and client-focused professional to join our team in a hybrid Legal Assistant/Paralegal role. The successful candidate will provide both legal and administrative support to attorneys and practice groups, helping to ensure the efficient management of client matters and daily practice operations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, communicate professionally with clients and colleagues, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional client service in a collaborative, fast-paced environment in our Charleston, SC office. This role is an in-office position.

What You Will Do
- Draft, revise proofread, and format correspondence, pleadings, discovery, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal, factual, and public records research.
- Manage attorney calendars, meetings, travel arrangements, and scheduling needs.
- Monitor deadlines and maintain calendars to ensure timely completion of client work and court-related obligations.
- Electronically file pleadings with federal and state courts.
- Maintain and organize electronic files and case management systems.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, vendors, and other third parties as directed.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other professionals to accomplish firm goals.
- Participate in training and professional development activities and perform other duties as assigned by Attorneys or Director of Practice Support.
- The Experience: Minimum of 2 years of paralegal experience,
- Technical Mastery: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and specialized legal tech, with experience capturing and recording billable hours. Knowledge of e-filing systems, court procedures, and legal research tools
- Research Skills: Strong capability utilizing Westlaw or LexisNexis for comprehensive legal research.
- Education: A Paralegal Certificate or an undergraduate degree from an accredited paralegal program is highly desired.
- Professional Attributes: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a high degree of client focus, and the absolute attention to detail required to work both independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
