***Candidates Must Have Manufacturing Experience***OBJECTIVELead the implementation and administration of an effective EHS program that ensures a safe work environment for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors. Maintain regulatory compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental, industrial hygiene, and occupational health and safety regulations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) regarding interpretation of EHS regulationsBuild and maintain positive relationships with federal, state, and local regulators. Serve as the primary contact for OSHA, EPA, or affiliated agenciesMaintain EHS metrics on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis and develop plans to improve performance by analyzing trends. Maintain OSHA logs and required associated records.Investigate and analyze incidents and identify root cause(s). Follow 5-Why or Fault Tree Analysis investigative methods.Assist engineering and production with development of corrective actions derived from incident investigations, audits, or inspections. Recommend improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize the hazard potential or environmental impact.Ensure EHS programs, policies, and procedures are compliant with applicable regulations and consistently implemented and enforced.Maintain compliance with existing permit requirements. Submit new permit applications or permit renewals as necessary.Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submittal of all required safety and environmental reports, records, and fees as required.Facilitate site safety meetings. Conduct annual EHS trainings and orientation for new hires.REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required, Master's degree desirable.Five years of related experience preferred.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Salary : $78,900 - $107,000
