The position of the Fleet Technician with cleaning duties is critical to the smooth operations of our customer’s company vehicles. The person in this position works closely with the Fleet Manager. This list is not all inclusive and other duties may be assigned as needed, by Butler Industries or the customer.
The schedule is Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm.
This position also has cleaning/janitorial duties.
Fleet daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:
- Follow all traffic laws
- Safely transport company vehicles as well as various products or materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner
- Transport clients to and from destinations
- Keep the company vehicles clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing and detailing
- Refuel vehicles and ensure they are always ready for use
- Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date
- Provide accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and goings
- Arrive at destinations on schedule
- Interact with people professionally at all times
- Drive to and from customer locations
- This position has cleaning duties assigned
Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, regularly bend, squat, climb in and out of vehicles, reach, stretch, and walk throughout the workday.
A successful driver candidate needs the following skills and qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license
- Cleaning/Janitorial Experience
- Clean driving record
- Pass a drug test
- Ability to drive in inclement weather
- Strong commitment to safety
- Excellent navigational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Time management and organizational skills to stay on schedule
- Physical stamina and good upper body strength to lift heavy luggage, packages, and objects, as well as be able to load and unload them from their vehicle or change a tire
