GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Serve as an itinerant Preschool Intervention Specialist providing special education services to preschool-aged children in a variety of settings. Responsible for implementing IEP goals and supporting access to and participation in the Early Childhood Curriculum within the general education preschool environment. Collaborate with classroom staff to adapt instruction, model strategies, and ensure the inclusion of children with disabilities alongside typically developing peers. Maintain responsibility for student safety and provide active supervision during service delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Ohio Early Childhood Intervention Specialist PK-3 License or ability to obtain or P-3 license and willing to obtain Intervention Specialist Supplemental Licensure.
- Supervised classroom experience with preschool special needs children.
- Knowledge of formal assessments and screening tools.
- Proficient in the use of computer applications and data entry.
- Valid driver’s license and daily access to personal vehicle.
- Excellent organization and planning skills.
- Willingness/ability to work as a team member.
- History of good job attendance.
- Must pass criminal background check and be free from communicable diseases.
