Job Duties
Butler Community College is seeking a full-time instructor for the Allied Health department. The Allied Health Instructor responsibilities include preparing and teaching Allied Health courses aligned with state or national guidelines, such as KDADS. This role performs all duties as directed by the Allied Health Director, Dean, Executive Vice President, or the President. This position requires the ability to work well with a diverse student population, as well as establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators and faculty in order to adequately prepare students to enter the healthcare environment.
The instructor will collaborate with other Allied Health faculty members and the Faculty Development Team as needed to ensure continued success. This is a 9 month faculty position. Butler uses electronic grade books and other forms of mediated communication. Free training is offered and required.

This is a 9-month faculty position. Salary is determined on a hiring schedule starting at $46,000 with credit for applicable education and experience.

Qualifications
Required knowledge and skills
Must be skilled in a variety of instructional techniques and technologies, with a demonstrated commitment to student engagement and learning outcomes.
Required experience
- Must have a minimum of two years of demonstrated nursing experience in a nursing position.
- One year of full-time nursing experience in long-term care is preferred.
- Experience teaching as a faculty or clinical instructor within an Allied Health program, or equivalent experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred.
Required educational background
- Must have a current license to practice nursing as an RN in the State of Kansas.
- Associates Degree in Nursing or Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing is required.
- Masters Degree in Nursing is preferred.
