Job Duties
The Building Maintenance Technician is employed to carry out maintenance service responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the Supervisor and is under the guidance of the Lead Fleet & Building Maintenance Technician.

Required knowledge and skills
A. Neat in personal appearance.
B. Possess valid Kansas driver’s license.
C. Must be mechanically inclined.
D. Must be able to lift 75 pounds without any limitations.
E. Ability to climb, stoop, bend and work in awkward positions.
F. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and work independent from direct supervision.
G. Must have basic knowledge of computer fundamentals.
H. Must be qualified to drive college vehicles, including large vans and trucks. I. Show personal pride in workmanship.
J. Maintain good working relationship with college/community persons and trades.
K. Must be able to work overtime and weekends for emergencies or events

Required experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of general maintenance experience (trade related).
Required educational background
High School diploma or equivalent required.
