Detailed Job Description: Onsite Supplier Support Engineer
Seeking Engineers for issue resolution between shop floor and suppliers.
- Daily collaboration with internal teams and suppliers
- Provide delivery commits
- Provide daily follow-up with suppliers to maintain alignment on production needs and resolve discrepancies
- Review of supplier commit trackers to ensure commitments align with production needs
- Requests of direct truck shipments as needed to maintain delivery schedules
- Work with buyer and suppliers to correct paperwork and mitigate delays in part flow thru receiving
- Work with shop floor control planning teams to coordinate release of castings to the grind suppliers to avoid gaps in delivery flow
- Experience with MS Excel
- Experience with SAP
- <10% travel may be required to vendor locations
