Butler Academy is seeking the world's most amazing middle and high school English Teachers for the 2025-26 school year in hopes of pushing our Excellence to the next level.

Great English teachers are passionate. They're passionate about books, literature, theatre, film, and their classes. They're people to be reckoned with, people with opinions, people you can't ignore. They push rigor and inspire students to work hard. They're people who students want to listen to and ask questions of. They love the process of teaching: they like its creative opportunities. Our goal is to engage teachers who are committed to closing the achievement gap by making BA a dynamic learning environment where every child is genuinely embraced and uplifted.

Becoming a great teacher takes continuous practice and a commitment to personal growth in tandem with a school culture that truly embraces a growth-for-all mindset. To facilitate this, BA teachers will receive real-time coaching and participate in meaningful weekly feedback and observation sessions with trained instructional coaches.

Our Model:

• Middle school consists of grades 5 - 8 at BA, High School is grades 9 - 10, with 11th and 12th being added over the next three years.

• Average class size for English is 14 scholars

• We place strong emphasis on social-emotional learning

• We value rigor and exceptionally high expectations in addition to differentiated support to meet the needs of all scholars
