Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing ingredients and assembling menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Support food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food trailer, ensuring all surfaces, utensils, and equipment meet sanitation standards
• Help with cooking processes, including grilling, frying, or assembling dishes as directed by the head chef or supervisor
• Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and hygiene procedures at all times
• Serve customers efficiently and courteously at the food trailer window or serving area
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying supervisors when stock levels are low

Requirements

• Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices
• Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking techniques across various cuisines
• Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in basic food preparation methods
• Background in restaurant or kitchen environments with exposure to catering or large-scale food service is preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
