Duties
- Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques that promote respect, cooperation, and independence.
- Support children’s social-emotional development by facilitating activities that enhance communication skills, emotional regulation, and peer interactions.
- Conduct assessments of children’s progress using standardized testing tools and observational methods to tailor instruction and support early intervention when needed.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, address concerns, and provide guidance on child welfare and childcare best practices.
- Incorporate special education strategies to support children with diverse learning needs and ensure an inclusive environment for all students.
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, student assessments, attendance, and behavioral reports in compliance with licensing requirements and school policies.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with preschool or pre-kindergarten children in a daycare or private school setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across early childhood subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and toddler care.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience applying Montessori or other early intervention methodologies is advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage a classroom effectively through strong classroom management skills and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community stakeholders effectively.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive settings is a plus.
