Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy, math, and social skills, ensuring activities are engaging and accessible for all students
- Provide physical assistance and behavioral support to students
- Support classroom management by reinforcing behavior expectations and implementing behavior management strategies
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
- Assist in lesson planning and preparation to ensure a smooth daily routine that promotes early childhood development and literacy education
- Support classroom organization, including setting up learning stations, managing supplies, and maintaining a safe environment aligned with Montessori or preschool standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings,
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques
- Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, classroom support, and documentation of student progress
- Compassionate attitude towards children’s individual needs; ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Physical ability to assist students physically when necessary; patience and flexibility are key qualities for success in this role
