Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and positive behavior.
- Support children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, handwashing, and other personal care needs.
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages learning and creativity.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences.
- Follow all health and safety protocols including first aid procedures, pediatric first aid guidelines, and mandated reporting laws.
- Support children with special needs or developmental delays by implementing individualized care plans under supervision.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving role is highly preferred.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies is desirable.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (Childhood First Aid) is required or willing to obtain upon hire.
- Previous experience in daycare center settings or preschool environments will help you succeed in this role.
- Strong communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration are necessary to thrive here.
- Must have GED or high school diploma
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
